Basketball Rules - One and One

According to basic rules of basketball, when a team reaches 7 team fouls in one half the other team gets to shoot a free throw upon each foul committed.  This is called one and one or one and the bonus.  If the shooter makes the first free throw successfully they are awarded a bonus free throw.  If the shooter misses the first free throw the rebound becomes live.  After ten team fouls in one half the one and one ceases and it becomes a double bonus each time someone is fouled on that team.  From there on out and throughout overtime two free throws will be shot.
